Job description
Role Overview
A consultancy-based opportunity is available for a skilled Architect / Interior Designer in Doha, Qatar. The role suits a professional with 5–7 years of experience, ideally gained in Qatar or the Middle East, who can combine creative thinking with solid technical delivery. The selected candidate will contribute to interior and architectural projects that demand strong design quality, coordination, and compliance with local regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Create and showcase concept ideas for residential, commercial, mixed-use, and high-rise developments.
- Convert initial design concepts into detailed drawings and design documentation.
- Work closely with architectural, structural, MEP, and project management teams during all phases of the project.
- Make sure designs meet Qatar building codes, regulations, and approval requirements.
- Prepare design presentations and communicate proposals to clients and other stakeholders.
- Manage the selection of materials, finishes, and FF&E coordination.
- Assist with tender documentation and construction-stage deliverables.
Requirements
- A bachelor’s qualification in Interior Design or Architecture is required.
- Having an MMUP/UPDA license will be considered an advantage.
- At least 5–7 years of experience in an architectural or engineering consultancy environment.
- A strong portfolio showing interior design and architecture work completed in consultancy settings.
- Capability in AutoCAD, Revit (BIM), SketchUp, Lumion, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator), plus any additional 3D or rendering software is beneficial.
- Good understanding of Qatar’s regulatory framework and approval process.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, teamwork, and presentation abilities.
- Exposure to high-rise, residential, commercial, and mixed-use projects is preferred.
