Overview

Santander's Corporate & Investment Banking Financing Group in Asia Pacific is looking to expand its regional financing team with an Analyst or Associate. This team offers a diverse range of financing products including infrastructure and project finance, acquisition and leveraged finance, real estate finance, asset finance, syndicated corporate loans, debt capital markets, fund finance, securitization, and structured finance solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in originating, structuring, and executing various financing transactions across multiple sectors such as infrastructure, leveraged buyouts, real estate, and capital markets.
  • Develop financial analyses and models, conduct credit and risk evaluations, perform rating assessments and comparative analysis, and conduct sensitivity testing and transaction return evaluations.
  • Prepare client-facing materials, market updates, financing proposals, internal credit documentation, committee reports, term sheets, and transaction paperwork.
  • Coordinate due diligence, approval processes, documentation, and deal closing efforts by collaborating with internal departments and external advisors.
  • Support syndication and debt capital markets execution through market condition analysis, pricing, investor feedback, distribution strategies, and managing execution risks.
  • Manage ongoing transaction monitoring and portfolio activities including exposure tracking, covenant compliance, waivers or amendments processing, refinancing analysis, and credit reviews.
  • Collaborate with senior and regional teams to strengthen Santander’s financing franchise in Asia Pacific.

Candidate Profile

  • Possess 1-3 years relevant experience for Analyst level or 3-5 years for Associate in investment banking, capital markets, project or structured finance, or leveraged finance.
  • Hold a bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Accounting, Engineering, or related fields.
  • Demonstrate strong financial modeling and credit analysis capabilities, including the assessment of cash flows, risk scenarios, transaction returns, and market comparables.
  • Have a solid understanding of financing documentation, due diligence, credit approval, syndication, and cross-border transaction execution.
  • Experience or knowledge of debt and loan capital markets, including market updates, pricing, investor feedback, and order book management, is an advantage.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks in a dynamic environment with close attention to detail and accountability.
  • Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal, coupled with strong teamwork abilities; proficiency in additional Asian languages is a plus.
