Job description

Role overview

Cambridgeshire and Peterborough NHS Foundation Trust (CPFT) is recruiting an enthusiastic, compassionate, motivated, and conscientious Activities and Wellbeing Coordinator to join CAMEO South. CAMEO is an award-winning early intervention in psychosis service that supports people aged 14 to 65 over a three-year pathway. The role is based at Chesterton Medical Centre in Cambridge city centre.

What you will do

You will design and deliver a mix of one-to-one and group-based activities that respond to the needs of service users. The post involves working with a defined caseload using a case-management style to help improve quality of life and encourage greater independence.

You will be expected to work autonomously in community settings, use your own initiative, and keep colleagues informed about clinical progress. The role also requires a respectful, person-centred approach that recognises the importance of service users and their families/carers.

You will work closely with community services, multidisciplinary teams, stakeholders, and integrated community teams to help build coordinated care plans that support social inclusion.

About CPFT

CPFT is a health and social care organisation committed to delivering high-quality care with compassion, improving health and wellbeing, and helping people live fulfilling lives. Its services span inpatient, primary care, and community settings, covering children’s, adult and older people’s mental health, forensic and specialist mental health, learning disabilities, liaison psychiatry, substance misuse, social care, and research and development.

Additional information

CPFT welcomes applications from all parts of the community and particularly encourages candidates from underrepresented groups, including people with long-term conditions and people from ethnic minority and LGBTQ+ communities. All new appointments are subject to completion of a probationary period.

The organisation may close the advert early if enough suitable applications are received. Sponsorship is not available for all roles; if a post is not eligible for sponsorship and you apply, your application will be withdrawn.
