About the Role
As an Activities Assistant in a Barchester care home, you will plan and run engaging, enjoyable, and varied activities that help residents experience a motivating and fulfilling day-to-day environment. The aim is to support each person in following their own interests and to make a genuine difference to their quality of life.
This position is part of a wider activities and entertainment programme covering a broad mix of hobbies, social events, outings, and organised occasions. In this role, you will help residents stay as independent as possible while also strengthening their connection with family, friends, and the local community.

You should also have a strong personal interest in the people you support. In return, you will have opportunities to build your abilities through training courses designed to strengthen confidence across all parts of the role.
