About the Role

Join KPMG Private Enterprise New Zealand in Tauranga as an Accountant within our Delivery & Data Excellence team. This team specializes in enhancing compliance work through technological innovation and data analytics. Key Responsibilities

• Prepare annual financial statements, income tax returns, and other compliance documents for a diverse client portfolio spanning multiple industries and business structures.
• Deliver precise technical compliance work, applying your accounting and tax knowledge to resolve complex issues and achieve client satisfaction.
• Foster strong collaboration with internal engagement teams to efficiently provide compliance services.
• Mentor and support junior team members through coaching and constructive feedback.
• Promote a performance-driven culture with an innovative approach toward delivering technical accounting and compliance services.
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and support the ongoing evolution of the Delivery & Data Excellence team.

Candidate Profile

• A minimum of 2-3 years of relevant professional experience in accounting compliance.
• Completion or progress toward a tertiary degree in Accounting.
• Preferably progressing toward or holding CAANZ, CPA, or an equivalent overseas professional certification.
• Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and various accounting software tools.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining professionalism and client focus.
• A collaborative team player with the capability to work independently.
• Excellent communication, organizational, time management, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
