Overview

The Account Manager is essential in renewing and expanding relationships with existing clients to ensure educators can fully utilize Ellevation's solutions supporting English Language Learners in K-12 education. This role focuses on driving engagement, promoting product adoption, and uncovering opportunities to expand district partnerships. Working collaboratively across teams, the Account Manager fosters trusted, long-lasting relationships with district leaders to enhance customer success and deliver outstanding experiences. Performance in expanding usage and partnerships aligns directly with company revenue goals, benefiting thousands of educators and multilingual students.

This position covers the East sales region, primarily focusing on the Southeastern United States, and entails travel responsibilities.

Role Milestones

  • Within 1 month: Complete onboarding to understand Ellevation’s mission and products; learn how to demo offerings; review the sales playbook and pricing; develop a strategic plan for the assigned territory; and familiarize with business systems and sales tools.
  • Within 3 months: Demonstrate product proficiency independently to external stakeholders; collaborate with team members to grasp regional policies, pricing, and instructional initiatives; partner with the Success team to develop engagement strategies; make initial contacts with assigned accounts and conduct demos and renewal meetings; and maintain accurate tracking of sales activities in Salesforce.
  • Within 6 months: Successfully close renewal contracts; manage and expand a pipeline of upselling opportunities; become an expert in territory-specific value propositions and policies; and engage collaboratively with partner development and success managers.
  • Within 12 months: Achieve or surpass annual sales targets; build strong relationships with key district stakeholders; maintain consistent sales pipelines; and share strategic insights to influence sales leadership decisions.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate has at least two years of successful K-12 market sales experience, familiarity with the English Language Learner (ELL) education landscape, and strong analytical and organizational skills. Outstanding communication abilities with diverse audiences and a competitive drive to thrive in sales are essential. Up to 50% travel is required, with seasonal variances.

Compensation & Benefits

The position offers an annual salary range of $75,000 to $95,000.
