Job description
Role overview
Amazon Ads is looking for an Account Manager Intern to support Australian advertisers in growing their businesses through digital advertising. In this role, you’ll partner with the Amazon Ads team to work with customers ranging from early-stage brands to large enterprises and help them achieve meaningful outcomes across Amazon’s advertising ecosystem.
This is a hands-on internship where you’ll take on real assignments, work with live data, and contribute to actual client results rather than shadowing or handling routine tasks.
Amazon Ads sits at the crossroads of eCommerce, media, and technology. The platform gives advertisers the ability to reach audiences on Amazon.com.au, Prime Video, IMDb, premium publisher inventory, and millions of connected devices. The environment is fast-moving and customer-focused, ideal for someone who wants exposure to a high-growth advertising business.
What you’ll gain
- Meaningful work that can directly shape advertiser performance and business growth.
- Guidance and support from experienced Amazon team members who are committed to helping you develop.
- Practical exposure to advanced ad technology and collaboration across different teams.
- A strong foundation for a future career in digital advertising, eCommerce, or technology.
Internship availability
You must be able to intern full time for 3 months, from December 2026 to February 2027.
Key responsibilities
- Assist with campaign management across Sponsored Ads and Amazon DSP, including learning how to improve performance across different product or business categories.
- Review campaign data, spot patterns and trends, and turn those insights into clear client recommendations.
- Help create client presentations and communications that present data and performance stories in a compelling way.
- Support scalable initiatives that improve outcomes across multiple accounts.
- Build practical experience using advertising tools and platforms while learning from subject matter experts.
Required background
- Applicants should be in the penultimate year of a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Marketing, Media, Business, or a closely related field, with graduation expected in 2027.
- Strong communication skills and a real interest in digital advertising, eCommerce, or media are important.
- You should be comfortable working with data and open to learning analytical tools.
- A self-driven attitude and a customer-first mindset are essential.
Preferred experience
- Prior internship, work experience, or university project work in marketing, sales, or digital media is an advantage.
- Experience with data analysis tools such as Excel is helpful; SQL knowledge is considered a plus.
- Ability to interpret data and identify trends or business opportunities is preferred.
