The Ads organization is building a premium advertising solution that helps brands reach highly engaged and diverse audiences through a high-quality content environment. In Australia, the ads team has already gained early traction and is now scaling quickly as it expands its reach and impact. The group is helping create a strong advertising business from the outset, using proprietary ad technology to support a high-end ad experience for members and meaningful results for advertisers.
Role Summary
This role is for an Account Manager who will support the expanding Ads team in Australia. The position centers on managing the full pre-sale and post-sale workflow in partnership with sales counterparts. The role involves collaborating with clients and sales teams on proposal responses, media plan development, campaign setup, delivery monitoring, and overall execution to ensure smooth operations and strong client support.
Key Responsibilities
- Work closely with assigned sales partners to understand client objectives and provide strong service throughout the campaign process.
- Lead weekly pipeline and pacing discussions with sales stakeholders to review upcoming launches and active campaign delivery.
- Create media plans and help prepare proposal responses covering packaging, pricing, targeting, and related campaign details.
- Run campaign launch meetings and coordinate with clients to collect required launch assets.
- Collaborate with cross-functional partners to produce custom creative materials.
- Partner with ad operations teams to ensure accurate order setup and resolve technical issues when they arise.
- Track campaign delivery closely and work with clients on optimization actions when needed.
- Share campaign performance updates with clients, including final wrap-up reports after campaigns end.
- Manage campaign escalations and help identify longer-term fixes to reduce repeat issues.
- Maintain strong knowledge of ad products, sponsorship options, targeting capabilities, and advertising policies.
- Support monthly billing and invoicing coordination with clients and finance teams.
- Build productive relationships with clients and agency partners.
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate brings a background in account management or sales planning within digital media, especially video advertising. They should be comfortable working with sales operations tools and have a solid understanding of digital advertising models and marketplaces. The role also calls for strong communication, analytical thinking, project coordination, and the ability to translate complex data into clear insights for different stakeholders.
Experience and Skills
- At least 5 years of experience in account management and/or sales planning within the digital media space, with emphasis on video advertising.
- Hands-on experience with sales operations platforms such as CRM systems, order management systems, and ad servers.
- Knowledge of digital media sales channels and marketplace structures, including Direct IO, Programmatic Guaranteed, and PMP models.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to think strategically and analyze data in a way that is easy for cross-functional teams to understand.
- Proven project management skills with the ability to juggle multiple priorities and stakeholder requests.
- Familiarity with advertising research and verification vendors such as Nielsen, ComScore, Moat, Integral Ad Science, DoubleVerify, and Kantar.
