18T Delivery Driver

Role overview

This position is for a local delivery driver who will work as part of a customer-focused team in Colchester. The job involves 45 hours per week and offers varied route work, regular customer interaction, and the chance to become a trusted part of the branch operation.

Drivers are central to the business, helping ensure orders arrive on schedule and that service quality remains high. The contract follows an any 5 from 7 pattern, so working days will include some weekends.

Key duties

The main purpose of the role is to keep customers supplied with the products they need for their own shelves. You will collect stock from the branch, load it into the vehicle, deliver it to customer premises, unload it safely, and complete all paperwork accurately.

What you need

A Cat C / 18T licence is required. You should also bring at least two years of driving experience, with delivery driving experience preferred. The role involves manual deliveries, so you need to be able to handle physical work. Strong people skills, a positive customer service approach, and a good standard of literacy and numeracy are important.

Training and working pattern

Fully funded CPC training hours are provided. Overtime opportunities are also available. The role is based on a 45-hour week and includes some weekend shifts under an any 5 from 7 schedule.
