About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Warehouse Operations Manager to lead and manage multiple warehouse contracts in North Tipperary. This key leadership position offers the chance to drive operational excellence in a busy logistics environment by fostering strong client relationships and ensuring seamless warehouse operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily warehouse contract operations, ensuring service level agreements (SLAs) and key performance indicators (KPIs) are met consistently.
- Build and sustain effective relationships with customers, serving as the main operational contact.
- Lead and inspire onsite management and warehouse teams to excel in performance.
- Manage recruitment, onboarding, workforce planning, and retention of warehouse staff.
- Ensure adherence to company policies, client requirements, and all relevant employment and health & safety regulations.
- Champion health and safety through regular audits, risk assessments, and enforcing corrective measures.
- Track operational metrics including productivity, labor expenses, and financial results to optimize profitability.
- Drive continuous improvement by implementing strategic initiatives that enhance efficiency and customer satisfaction.
- Prepare and deliver reports, performance data, and business reviews for senior leadership and clients.
- Control budgets and operational costs without compromising service quality.
- Work collaboratively with internal teams to support recruitment, payroll, compliance, and customer service processes.
- Identify and support business growth by exploring contract expansion and operational enhancements.
Essential Qualifications and Skills
- Significant experience in roles such as Warehouse Operations Manager, Logistics Manager, or Distribution Manager.
- Strong expertise in warehouse operations and managing personnel.
- Demonstrated success in managing client relationships and achieving high customer satisfaction.
- In-depth knowledge of logistics processes and supply chain best practices.
- Solid understanding of health and safety standards and compliance.
- Skilled in recruiting, managing, and developing large teams in operational settings.
- Commercially savvy, with the ability to analyze performance data and enhance profitability.
- Excellent leadership, communication, organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and warehouse management systems (WMS).
Desirable Attributes
- Degree or higher qualification in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Management, or related field.
- Experience overseeing multiple warehouse locations or contracts.
- Qualifications in Lean, Continuous Improvement, or Six Sigma methodologies.
