Technology Release Specialist

As a Release Specialist, you will bring discipline, governance, and assurance to the software release process, ensuring each deployment positively impacts end users.

Key Responsibilities

• Organize and synchronize software release plans involving development, QA, DevOps, Security, Operations, and business stakeholders.
• Maintain release calendars, deployment timelines, and oversee all release readiness tasks.
• Ensure compliance with governance standards including obtaining approvals, validating test results, preparing rollback strategies, and maintaining change records.
• Identify, assess, and mitigate release risks, manage interdependencies, and verify production readiness.
• Lead release planning sessions, Change Advisory Board (CAB) meetings, and deployment readiness evaluations.
• Provide transparent and timely communication to stakeholders throughout the deployment lifecycle.
• Assist with post-release verifications and help coordinate incident handling when necessary.
• Drive continuous enhancement of release processes, governance frameworks, and documentation quality.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a closely related discipline.
• Minimum of 2 years' experience in Release Management, Change Management, IT Operations, or Software Delivery roles.
• Solid understanding of software development life cycles (SDLC), deployment methodologies, release governance, and environment management.
• Experience collaborating with both technical and business teams through multiple release cycles.
• Familiarity with IT Service Management (ITSM) tools, processes related to Change Management, CAB operations, and creating release documentation.
• Excellent communication skills with strong organizational and stakeholder coordination abilities.
