Job description
Overview
Our client is a premier technical specialist distributor focused on industrial maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) products and services. As Europe's largest industrial products distributor generating over 2.2 billion in annual revenue, their goal is to create value by lowering acquisition costs, increasing production efficiency, and reducing working capital. They are seeking a Supply Chain Coordinator specializing in Inventory and Procurement to join their team based in Carrigtwohill, Cork, reporting to the Site Operations Manager.
Primary Duties
- Manage stock levels of fast-moving items around the customer site to ensure timely replenishment.
- Provide comprehensive support to the Site Operations Manager as required.
- Deliver precise quotations across a wide range of parts and products to optimise customer operations.
- Address daily inquiries and occasionally visit the customer site for direct support.
- Source needed parts efficiently and collect supplies from local vendors.
- Perform general administrative tasks required by the Insite team.
- Maintain high standards of customer service consistently.
- Oversee customer orders from first enquiry through to delivery completion.
- Ensure purchase orders are correctly entered into site systems and expedite goods and services to meet delivery requirements.
- Develop and maintain management reports to track operational performance.
- Negotiate with suppliers and manage relationships to support procurement effectiveness.
- Coordinate with Product Category Owners to ensure alignment with inventory needs.
- Maintain accurate inventory control records within ERP systems.
- Contribute proactively to continuous improvement initiatives.
- Support Health and Safety maintenance at the site.
- Encourage good housekeeping practices to sustain an efficient work environment.
Qualifications and Skills
- Possession of a full Irish Driving License (mandatory).
- Strong understanding of MRO products and engineering consumables.
- Proven abilities in sales and developing customer relationships.
- Negotiation and purchasing expertise.
- Excellent communication skills with strong literacy and numerical capabilities.
- Organized, methodical approach with teamwork orientation in fast-paced settings.
- Familiarity with stock management systems and inventory control.
- High attention to detail for accuracy.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, specifically Excel, and overall IT literacy.
