About the Role
Our client is a leading European distributor specializing in industrial maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) products, operating across 22 countries with a customer base exceeding 220,000. The Irish division generates over 30 million in revenue and supports various major sectors including pharmaceutical, food and beverage, manufacturing, utilities, engineering, and other critical industrial functions. They are seeking a Supply Chain Coordinator to join the Limerick-based team, reporting directly to the Site Operations Manager.
Primary Responsibilities
- Manage stock levels of fast-moving items at the customers site to ensure replenishment is timely.
- Assist and support the Site Operations Manager with various operational requests.
- Provide customers with precise quotations for a wide range of parts and products to maximize operational efficiency.
- Handle daily customer inquiries and perform occasional visits to the customer site as needed.
- Source parts and collect supplies from local vendors when required.
- Complete general administrative tasks for the Insite team.
- Maintain consistently high standards of customer service.
- Oversee customer orders from the point of inquiry through to delivery.
- Ensure purchase orders are correctly entered into site systems and expedite goods, materials, and services to meet delivery requirements.
- Produce and maintain management reports efficiently.
- Engage in supplier negotiations and manage ongoing supplier relationships.
- Coordinate with Product Category Owners to optimize procurement processes.
- Maintain accurate inventory control records within ERP systems.
- Participate in continuous improvement efforts.
- Contribute to maintaining Health & Safety standards on site.
- Promote good housekeeping practices to facilitate a productive and organized working environment.
Essential Requirements
- Possession of a full Irish Driving License.
- Strong knowledge of MRO and engineering consumable products.
- Skills in sales and customer relationship management to foster business growth.
- Effective negotiation and purchasing capabilities.
- Clear communication skills combined with sound literacy and numeracy.
- Systematic and highly organized approach, capable of thriving in a dynamic team setting.
- Experience and understanding of stock management systems.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
