Stores Controller

Role Overview

We are looking for a Stores Controller to oversee the management and control of materials in our warehouse environment located in the City of Mbombela, Mpumalanga, South Africa. This role demands a solid understanding of inventory procedures, quality controls, and safety standards in material handling.

Qualifications

• Completion of Grade 12 including Mathematics.
• Bachelor's degree in Purchasing & Supply Management or related Logistics field.
• Preferred additional qualification in Material Handling & Control for stores.
• Valid Code 08 driver's license.
• Competency in forklift operation is advantageous.

Experience and Requirements

• At least 3 years progressing through roles within stores and warehouse operations.
• Thorough knowledge of stores procedures and processes.
• Fundamental insight into quality assurance and process control.
• Proficiency in basic computing skills related to store management tasks.
• Understanding of inventory control basics including shipping and receiving workflows.
• Ability to promote and maintain safety procedures for handling heavy equipment and materials used in construction and maintenance.
• Strong attention to detail with capability to meet required reporting deadlines.
