Role Overview
Aotearoa Clinical Trials (ACTT) is seeking an organized and detail-oriented Start-Up Associate to join their team at Middlemore Hospital in Auckland. The successful candidate will play a vital role in launching new clinical trials, working closely with a team of experienced research professionals, investigators, sponsors, and healthcare providers. This position is ideal for those passionate about supporting clinical research processes and improving health outcomes through research.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the establishment and activation of new clinical trials within ACTT's commercial research portfolio.
- Collaborate with Start-Up Specialists and the Regulatory team to support regulatory submissions, contracts, budgets, and study documentation.
- Contribute to feasibility assessments, recruitment planning, and management of clinical trial systems.
- Ensure efficient and compliant trial setup to facilitate smooth transition to recruitment and trial delivery phases.
Candidate Profile
- Possess a Master's degree in health, medical, or scientific fields.
- Demonstrate strong organizational and administrative capabilities.
- Exhibit excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Maintain high attention to detail with a commitment to quality.
- Be confident in using various information systems and technology platforms.
- Have strong problem-solving and critical-thinking capacities.
- Manage multiple priorities effectively and meet deadlines.
- Be collaborative and open to learning and developing within the clinical trials domain.
Prior experience in clinical trial start-up, research administration, or within New Zealand’s health system is considered advantageous.
