Overview
Aotearoa Clinical Trials (ACTT) invites applications for an experienced Clinical Trial Coordinator to join our dedicated team based at Middlemore Hospital in Auckland, New Zealand. This role provides a chance to contribute significantly to improving health outcomes nationwide by supporting innovative clinical research across a wide range of therapeutic areas.
About Aotearoa Clinical Trials
For over two decades, ACTT has been a leader in clinical research in New Zealand, partnering with participants, healthcare providers, and research sponsors. We manage clinical trials at sites in Middlemore Hospital and Whangārei Hospital, covering more than 25 therapeutic areas with over 150 ongoing trials.
Key Responsibilities
The Clinical Trial Coordinator will oversee the daily management and coordination of clinical studies, ensuring compliance with protocol, regulatory, and ethical standards. Responsibilities include participant recruitment, managing study milestones, comprehensive trial documentation, and accurate data collection. The role also involves supporting participants throughout the research process and cooperating closely with investigators, sponsors, Clinical Research Organisations (CROs), and healthcare staff. Training will be given to conduct participant visits, including vital signs monitoring, ECGs, handling investigational products, and data collection.
Candidate Profile
We seek candidates with strong organizational skills, adaptability, and a proactive approach. The ideal applicant can prioritize multiple tasks effectively, communicate complex information with clarity, and build strong relationships across diverse stakeholders. They should be capable of working independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
Qualifications and Experience
- MSc or PhD in Health Sciences, Medical Sciences, or similar scientific disciplines
- At least two years of proven experience as a Clinical Trial Coordinator
- Strong aptitude for adopting new technologies and systems
- Excellent skills in organization, time management, and prioritization
- High proficiency in written and oral communication
- Ability to convey complex information clearly and confidently
- Demonstrated critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Continuous learner mindset
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
