Job Overview
This role offers a unique chance to leverage your STEM background by becoming a Special Agent with the Federal Bureau of Investigation. Beyond transitioning careers, you will expand your technical and investigative skills while engaging with complex cases involving national security.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and execute investigations into possible federal law breaches, cybersecurity incidents, and public safety concerns.
- Apply sound judgment, resourcefulness, and flexibility to handle investigative assignments effectively.
- Establish and sustain productive partnerships with law enforcement entities across federal, state, local, tribal, territorial, and international levels.
- Maintain physical fitness standards necessary for carrying out law enforcement responsibilities.
Candidate Requirements
- Must be a U.S. citizen eligible for a Top Secret Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) security clearance.
- Willingness to travel as per job demands.
- Fulfill the FBI's employment eligibility criteria.
Educational Criteria
Applicants should possess at least a bachelor's degree, preferably in engineering or a related STEM discipline, from a U.S. accredited institution. Official college transcripts are required for degree validation.
Compensation and Employment Details
Starting pay ranges from $93,749 to $133,200 annually, adjusted by base salary, locality, and availability pay. This position is exempt from federal civilian hiring freezes.
