Senior Care Support Associate, Nursing (1-Year Contract)

Overview

The Care Support Associate plays a vital role in aiding nursing staff to provide patient-focused care by performing clinical, operational, and ward-related support tasks.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist Registered Nurses and Enrolled Nurses in delivering safe, timely, and quality care to patients within inpatient wards.
• Provide direct patient care encompassing personal hygiene, assistance with elimination, feeding support, repositioning, and mobility aid.
• Measure and accurately record patients' vital signs and basic clinical observations.
• Aid in patient admissions, examinations, medical procedures, transfers, and discharges.
• Support nursing and clinical interventions including helping with wound care, IV-related tasks, bladder scanning, and initiating emergency responses.
• Manage ward activities such as coordinating bed availability, patient transfers, and overseeing visitor management.
• Offer basic education to patients and their families on ward orientation and infection control protocols.
• Handle clerical duties including the management of medical records and discharge documentation.

Requirements

• Possess at least a NITEC, Higher NITEC, Diploma, or equivalent qualification.
• Demonstrate effective interpersonal and communication abilities.
• Competent in reading, writing, and conversing in basic English.
• Available to work across three rotating shifts, inclusive of weekends and public holidays.
• Shift timings are as follows: Morning (8:00 AM to between 4:00 PM and 6:00 PM), Afternoon (starting between 11:00 AM and 1:00 PM ending between 7:00 PM and 9:00 PM), Night (8:00 PM to 8:00 AM).
• Applicants must be Singapore Citizens or Singapore Permanent Residents.
