Role Overview

The Scheduler Abstractor is entrusted with a variety of clerical and communication tasks vital to smooth healthcare operations. This role involves managing patient appointments, procedure coding using Envision software, patient billing, daily record reconciliation, outline post-procedure data abstraction, and maintaining monthly statistical reports. Additionally, the position includes providing price quotes, verifying insurance details and authorizations, maintaining communication journals, and acting as a liaison between physicians and patients. The employee may also be tasked with other responsibilities as needed.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required.
Associate degree preferred.
Experience in scheduling and administrative duties is favored.

Work Details

Location: Mease Dunedin facility.
Status: Full-time, non-exempt.
Shift: Day shift, typically an 8-hour duration; timing may vary.
Weekend work and on-call duties are not required.
Work arrangement: Hybrid model allowing for remote work on occasion.
