Replenishment Assistant - Retail

Role Overview

The position of Replenishment Assistant at Qatar Airways involves managing stock reception from warehouses and sub stores, ensuring appropriate distribution across retail locations to avoid shelf shortages.

Key Responsibilities

• Stock merchandise efficiently on racks within QDFC stores to optimize space utilization.
• Maintain fully stocked shelves by applying fundamental demand and supply understanding relevant to retail.
• Organize and pick stock based on expiration dates, facilitating proper FIFO rotation.
• Provide assistance to customers and support other sections of the store during high-demand periods.
• Handle all goods carefully to prevent damage.
• Keep operational areas and store equipment clean and orderly.
• Maintain housekeeping standards and visual merchandising quality consistently.
• Report incidents promptly to the Merchandising Officer.
• Adhere strictly to Health and Safety protocols at HIA and report any accidents or violations immediately.
• Carry out additional duties as assigned by the department head.

Candidate Qualifications

Basic literacy, numeracy, and English communication skills are necessary, with entry-level roles requiring no prior related experience. However, there are essential and preferred qualifications:

Essential Qualifications & Skills

• At least 2 years of relevant experience in stock or retail operations.
• Physical aptitude to lift and maneuver weight up to 165lbs.
• Ability to handle heavy carts of stock within the facility.
• Demonstrate honesty, trustworthiness, respectfulness, and cultural sensitivity.
• Flexibility and strong work ethics.
• Positive and courteous interaction with the public.
• Effective English communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Familiarity with visual merchandising principles.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience in retail environments.
