Role Overview
We are looking for a Procurement Partner to join our Wellington-based team permanently. You will collaborate closely with business unit stakeholders to plan, prioritise, and oversee a portfolio of procurement initiatives aligned with organisational goals. Acting as a trusted advisor, you will build strong relationships across the organisation, understand strategic priorities, and facilitate procurement processes that enable informed decision-making and successful outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end procurement activities for a portfolio to ensure proper procurement approaches are applied timely.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to navigate commercial challenges, manage risks and opportunities, and add value aligned with ACC’s strategic objectives.
- Work as part of a procurement partnering model alongside Senior Procurement Partners and Advisors to maintain visibility of upcoming demand and support business planning.
- Operate autonomously in a fast-paced environment while balancing multiple competing priorities and delivering consistent results.
Candidate Profile
- Extensive experience managing complex procurement processes, preferably within public sector or similarly complex environments.
- Sound understanding and pragmatic application of New Zealand Government Procurement Rules (NZGPR) for value-driven outcomes.
- Proven ability to develop procurement strategies aligned with organisational priorities.
- Strong workload management skills and ability to progress parallel projects independently.
- Effective relationship building and collaborative skills with internal and external stakeholders.
- A partnership approach, demonstrating trust-building, influencing, and turning insights into actionable outcomes.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and influencing capabilities.
- Continuous improvement mindset with adaptability to evolving working methods.
- Must have current work rights for New Zealand.
