Role Overview

AquaSteady is a seaweed-based hydrogel designed to improve soil fertility and water retention so farmers can better protect crops during irregular rainfall and irrigation patterns. The work is part of a cross-disciplinary research effort with Phase II support from the U.S. National Science Foundation Convergence Accelerator.

This role is fully funded by a grant and depends on budget approval and available funds. The position currently supports up to 20 hours per week through November 30, 2026, and may be extended if funding continues.

Key Duties

• Help organize training and onboarding activities for the project team.
• Maintain project records, tools, equipment, and documentation systems in an orderly way.
• Coordinate inventory tracking and distribute resources where needed.
• Support communication of stakeholder deliverables and liaise with testing partners.
• Follow project progress and assist with improving workflows and team processes.
• Provide practical, day-to-day assistance to project teams as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent level of education.
• Previous experience working within a team environment.
• Strong organization skills and careful attention to detail.
• Dependable with the ability to keep to a regular schedule.
• Good communication and leadership abilities.
• Comfort with repetitive tasks and routine work.
