Pratt also operates the Research Yard, a 20,000-square-foot hub in the Brooklyn Navy Yard that houses Institute research activities under one roof.

Pratt Community Values

Founded in 1887, Pratt emphasizes open access to education and identifies with a community culture built around resourceful collaboration, equity-centered creativity, resilience, and curiosity. Members of the community are expected to act as thoughtful problem solvers, socially responsible creators, adaptable global stewards, and compassionate participants in the community.

This role is fully funded by a grant and depends on budget approval and available funds. The position currently supports up to 20 hours per week through November 30, 2026, and may be extended if funding continues.

Key Duties

  • Help organize training and onboarding activities for the project team.
  • Maintain project records, tools, equipment, and documentation systems in an orderly way.
  • Coordinate inventory tracking and distribute resources where needed.

  • Dependable with the ability to keep to a regular schedule.
  • Good communication and leadership abilities.
  • Comfort with repetitive tasks and routine work.

Application Requirements

Applicants should submit a resume and a cover letter for review.

Professional references will be requested later in the hiring process. Candidates should be ready to share at least three professional references, including two current or former managers or supervisors. Submitting up to five references is encouraged so alternative contacts are available if needed.

The employer is currently unable to sponsor new H-1B visas for applicants living outside the United States.
