About the Role
Join a rapidly expanding company within the luxury retail and e-commerce sector, serving markets across Asia. This position is for a detail-focused Logistics Specialist who will independently oversee daily shipping activities, ensuring punctual and compliant cross-border shipments.
Primary Responsibilities
- Manage and coordinate international shipments via air and sea to guarantee timely arrival.
- Communicate effectively with freight forwarders, courier services, customs officials, and internal departments to track shipment progress and arrange delivery timings.
- Proactively track shipments and address any delays or operational obstacles.
- Facilitate shipping for both regional and global product orders.
- Collaborate with logistics partners to negotiate competitive rates and secure dependable service.
- Maintain constructive relationships with freight and courier providers.
- Organize shipping schedules, booking confirmations, and delivery plans.
- Monitor logistics performance metrics and help implement cost-saving measures.
- Prepare and verify essential shipping documents such as invoices, packing lists, airway bills, bills of lading, and customs forms.
- Ensure full compliance with relevant import/export laws and shipping protocols.
- Handle sensitive or regulated goods with proper documentation and care.
- Coordinate customs clearance efficiently with agents and logistics partners.
- Pack shipments following dangerous goods standards where applicable.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- A diploma in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business, or a closely related field.
- At least 2 to 3 years of practical experience in logistics, shipping coordination, freight forwarding, or supply chain operations.
- Physical capability to manage heavy loads and perform packing duties independently.
- Exposure to retail, e-commerce, FMCG, or cosmetics sectors is advantageous.
- Understanding of international shipment regulations and documentation processes.
- Knowledge of dangerous goods handling is a plus.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and shipment tracking tools.
- Strong interpersonal communication, coordination, and problem-solving abilities.
- Self-motivated and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment without direct supervision.
- Ability to communicate in Chinese beneficial for liaising with regional suppliers and partners.
Compensation
The role offers a monthly salary ranging from SGD 4000 to SGD 4500, based on experience.
