This role is located in Erbil; applicants must be currently in the city or willing to relocate.

Role Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive research and analysis on socio-political, security, and economic matters pertinent to the Middle East and North Africa region.
• Continuously monitor publicly accessible media and information sources, synthesizing critical insights for communication with stakeholders and senior leaders.
• Assist in preparing high-quality program materials as part of IN2 projects, supporting program teams in gathering data and delivering detailed reports to relevant parties.
• Help cultivate new client and partner relationships aiding business expansion.
• Contribute to promoting IN2's initiatives by drafting various communication content, including ad-hoc reports and other related documents.
• Provide support as needed to senior research staff, including analysts, portfolio leads, department heads, and business development teams.

Qualifications and Skills

• Fluency in English as a native speaker, with excellent written abilities in English and Arabic, including experience editing content in both languages.
• Highly developed report-writing capabilities.
• Comprehensive knowledge or previous hands-on experience with the MENA region.
• Strong academic foundation in research and analysis, with the ability to critically evaluate sources and information for professional applications.
• Ability to clearly synthesize and communicate research findings through written, visual, and verbal presentations to colleagues and senior management.
• Preferred experience with Open Source Intelligence (OSINT) methodologies.
• Recent graduate status with an academic background in Political Science, International Relations, or related fields.
• Genuine interest in addressing complex social challenges within the MENA region.
• Demonstrated team orientation and capability to collaborate effectively within a culturally diverse environment.
• Additional regional language skills are a plus but are not mandatory.
