Position Overview
We are seeking a Grocery Shopper Expert to join our team on an hourly contract basis. This remote role offers a competitive pay rate between $35 and $50 per hour and requires a commitment of 10 to 40 hours per week.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and purchase grocery items tailored for retail and wholesale business needs.
- Conduct market analysis to track trends, consumer preferences, and competitor products.
- Engage in supplier negotiations to secure optimal pricing and agree on beneficial contracts.
- Foster and maintain strong supplier partnerships to guarantee quality and consistent product availability.
- Oversee stock levels and proactively manage potential inventory shortages.
- Create targeted purchasing strategies for various product categories.
- Effectively communicate market insights and procurement decisions to relevant cross-functional teams.
Candidate Requirements
- Proven background in retail, wholesale, procurement, or grocery buying roles.
- Expertise in product selection processes, negotiation tactics, and buying strategies.
- Robust analytical ability to assess market dynamics and consumer behavior.
- Experienced in managing supplier contracts and relationships.
