Job Overview
We are seeking an Environmental Coordinator to join our team in Dhahran, Eastern Province, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position involves overseeing environmental compliance and sustainability initiatives primarily within the oil and gas sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure adherence to environmental regulations, permitting processes, and monitoring throughout project lifecycles.
- Conduct environmental impact assessments and assist in maintaining regulatory compliance for offshore, refining, petrochemical, or NGL-related projects.
- Manage coordination efforts between various stakeholders and maintain effective communication channels.
Candidate Requirements
- Possess a bachelor's degree in environmental engineering from an accredited institution.
- Advanced qualifications such as a master's or PhD in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Management, Sustainability, or equivalent field are desired.
- Have 3 to 5 years of relevant experience within the oil and gas industry, particularly in offshore or petrochemical environments.
- Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of maritime laws and offshore regulatory standards like ISM, ISPS, MLC 2006, MARPOL, SOLAS, and STCW.
- Exhibit strong skills in stakeholder coordination, communication, and technical documentation including writing and presenting reports.
- Preferred certifications include EPI/QEP, and prior Saudi Aramco Environmental Engineer approval is advantageous.
