About the Role

The Division Accountant will act as a crucial financial partner, delivering detailed financial insights to help the Health Board achieve its fiscal goals. Main Responsibilities

• Offer detailed financial advice, analysis, and assistance to designated directorates.
• Cultivate robust relationships across finance and operational groups, serving as a trusted contact.
• Generate clear financial reports tailored for operational and clinical leaders.
• Identify and communicate financial risks and prospects to aid in resource management.
• Lead monthly budget supervision, variance assessments, and forecasting processes.
• Contribute to preparing business cases and proposals for service enhancements.
• Support budget formulation and participate in financial planning cycles.
• Advocate for sound financial governance and economic stewardship.

Candidate Profile

• CCAB-qualified accountant or finalist (or possessing an equivalent qualification) with relevant experience in complex financial settings.
• Proficient in financial analysis, interpreting data, and clearly conveying information.
• Skilled in communicating effectively with non-finance personnel, adapting styles as needed.
• Capable of working autonomously, juggling multiple priorities, and adhering to deadlines.
• Curious, proactive, and dedicated to ongoing improvement.
• Collaborative team player with problem-solving abilities.
• Welsh language skills are desirable, though candidates speaking either Welsh or English are encouraged to apply.
