Job description
Job Overview
The Data Coordinator will collaborate with the Information Manager to manage technical query data and maintain the Master Tag List across multiple engineering disciplines for projects. This role ensures tagging compliance and manages accurate association between engineering and supplier documentation or drawings, validating data properties relative to tag types.
Key Duties
- Liaise with teams to understand client and project data requirements, providing regular updates on data turnover and handover progress.
- Manage tag integration within the Client's information management system, verifying the quality of tags and associated data attributes in the master tag database.
- Work with section leads to address inconsistent, missing, or incorrect tag information, maintaining logs for data issues and resolution tracking.
- Generate data completion and quality progress reports weekly through the Client's information management platform as per project needs.
- Engage in seminars and training to stay current with project management information system technologies and recommend improvements.
- Analyze recurring problems to identify trends and critical areas requiring enhancement.
- Gather feedback from stakeholders to improve information management system processes, tools, and service quality.
Qualifications and Experience
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
- At least 3 years of experience working on engineering projects in piping or instrumentation disciplines.
- Proven background in data and document control management for FPSO/FPU projects in onshore/offshore oil & gas sectors.
- Familiarity with project information management systems such as Aveva Engineering, Hexagon SDX or EDWS (SQL), and PIM (non-SQL).
- Competency in data/document management software including PIM, iDocs, Project Tools, with ability to aid in generating progress and quality reports.
- Knowledgeable in Data and Documentation for Operation (DFO) and Vital Document & Data (VDD) activities relevant to projects.
