About the Role
Kingborough Council is looking for a seasoned Information and Records Management Coordinator to oversee various aspects of information governance and records handling. This full-time, ongoing position within the Digital Experience Department involves administering the Electronic Document and Records Management System (EDRMS) and ensuring compliance with legislative, policy, and security standards. The role emphasizes continuous enhancement of information management frameworks, processes, and technological adoption.
Key Responsibilities
- Offer expert advice, training, and guidance regarding information governance and records management.
- Manage and maintain the Electronic Document and Records Management System (EDRMS).
- Enhance organizational skills in contemporary information governance and digital records practices.
- Foster strong partnerships with internal stakeholders and encourage best practices in recordkeeping.
- Ensure adherence to legislative, security, and governance mandates.
- Prepare reports, briefings, and fulfill mandatory reporting obligations.
- Support the implementation of new technologies and continuous improvement efforts.
Candidate Profile
- Proven experience in records management and information governance within government or similarly regulated settings.
- Sound understanding of recordkeeping requirements and State Archives standards.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and organizational skills.
- Ability to operate independently, balance competing priorities, and produce quality deliverables.
- High integrity, discretion, and sound judgment.
- Demonstrated leadership abilities with a focus on team development and driving continuous improvements.
