Overview
The Clinical Editor position offers an important role in advancing the company's growth by supporting editorial accuracy and professionalism. Reporting to the Operations Manager, this role involves meticulous proofreading and refinement of clinical reports to ensure precision, consistency, and the highest quality standards.
This fully remote opportunity provides a competitive hourly pay rate of GBP 19.50, with a requirement of at least 10 hours weekly. Flexible scheduling is available, and additional hours may be offered but are not guaranteed. Candidates must be UK-based and capable of starting immediately.
Key Responsibilities
- Carefully review and edit clinical documentation resulting from assessments and annual patient reviews, ensuring each report meets high-quality criteria before distribution.
- Handle a variety of documents ranging from comprehensive 90+ page assessments to shorter clinical review reports.
- Maintain uniformity in report formatting, language style, and overall structure.
- Effectively track and manage documents through the editorial process, adhering to firm deadlines.
- Communicate and collaborate with internal teams, offering constructive feedback to clinicians to improve report quality.
Skills and Qualifications
- Proficiency with advanced features of Microsoft Word, including formatting, track changes, document layout, tables, and header/footer management.
- Exceptional attention to detail to identify even minimal errors in grammar, terminology, and formatting.
- Excellent written English skills with strong grammar and spelling accuracy.
- Demonstrated ability to organize work and manage time efficiently, juggling multiple competing deadlines.
- Capacity to maintain style consistency and follow established editorial guidelines.
- Professional and sensitive use of language suitable to clinical contexts.
- Effective communicator with a collaborative approach, working well with multiple teams.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel and SharePoint, is advantageous.
