About the Opportunity
Join Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) AI Cloud Team as an AS400 Administrator and advance your career in Kolkata, West Bengal. We are looking for a skilled professional with over five years of experience in AS400 / IBM i system management to join our onsite team at Geetanjali Park.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing and administering AS400 / IBM i systems.
- Monitoring system performance and overseeing system administration tasks.
- Handling user profile setups and security configurations.
- Ensuring reliable backup and recovery processes.
- Managing job queues and spool files efficiently.
- Monitoring system performance and resolving issues promptly.
- Applying PTFs and managing software patches.
Candidate Requirements
- At least 5 years of hands-on experience with AS400 / IBM i administration.
- Strong knowledge of system monitoring and administration techniques.
- Proficiency in user profile and security management on AS400.
- Experience in backup and recovery operations.
- Familiar with job and spool management.
- Competent in performance monitoring and troubleshooting.
- Experienced in PTF and patch management procedures.
