About the Role

We are seeking an Advice Centre Assistant Manager to become an integral part of our team at the Te Rapa Advice Centre in Hamilton, Waikato. This is a unique chance for someone passionate about leadership, staff growth, and delivering outstanding customer experiences to contribute to and promote a high-performing team environment.
This position is a full-time permanent role working 40 hours a week from Tuesday to Saturday, fully based at the Te Rapa Advice Centre.
Responsibilities
As the Assistant Manager reporting directly to the Advice Centre Manager, your role includes supporting leadership efforts and boosting the branch’s overall performance. You will lead, mentor, and develop Customer Specialists, help coordinate the delivery of ASB’s financial products and services, and ensure exceptional customer interactions consistently.
You will collaborate with the Advice Centre Manager to enhance team capability, maintain strong operational standards, and cultivate an inclusive, positive workspace where team members feel encouraged and supported. You will also be actively involved in managing daily branch functions and stepping in where needed.
Candidate Profile
Ideal candidates may already have experience leading teams or be seasoned banking professionals ready to advance into leadership. A passion for customer service, fostering growth in others, and achieving outstanding team results is essential.
