Role Overview
The VP, Brand Strategy will play a pivotal role in healthcare marketing—a sector where complex science converges with significant human impact. Success depends on compelling storytelling that resonates with healthcare professionals, patients, and caregivers. This position requires turning data into insightful narratives and transforming those insights into ideas that influence and engage effectively.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as a trusted strategic advisor to clients, guiding their complex decision-making with confidence and clarity.
- Lead workshops and facilitate discussions to align stakeholder teams and maintain project momentum.
- Provide well-founded perspectives anchored in thorough insight and evidence.
- Analyze clinical data, market trends, and human behavior to extract meaningful and relatable insights.
- Identify patterns, challenges, and opportunities within healthcare professional and patient journeys.
- Create clear, persuasive strategic narratives that unite teams behind a common vision.
- Draft engaging creative briefs that inspire and energize internal teams.
- Develop brand positioning and messaging strategies across product lifecycles.
- Make scientific content accessible, engaging, and impactful for diverse audiences.
- Collaborate closely with creative, account management, medical strategy, social media, and omnichannel teams to ensure integrated and consistent strategy execution.
- Unify different strategic elements—brand, content, channel, and experience—into a single coherent vision.
- Maintain a balance between practical feasibility and ambitious clarity in all strategic work.
- Contribute to new business development by crafting distinctive and effective strategic narratives.
- Define standards for integrated healthcare strategy and mentor fellow strategists, fostering growth and knowledge sharing.

Required Qualifications
- Approximately 8 years of experience in brand strategy or planning within an agency setting, preferably in pharmaceutical, biotech, or healthcare marketing sectors.
- Proven track record of delivering strategies that are insight-driven, creatively stimulating, and strategically reliable.
- Strong knowledge of clinical data, competitive dynamics, and the behavioral patterns of healthcare professionals or patients.
- Experience collaborating effectively with medical, social, and customer experience/engagement strategy teams.
- Exceptional skills in storytelling and communication, including creating briefs, presentations, and decks.
Compensation and Benefits
The anticipated salary range for this position is CAD 200,000 to CAD 240,000 annually. Final compensation will depend on candidate experience, education, qualifications, and organizational needs.
