Role Overview
The company is expanding its Enterprise & AI Ventures team and is seeking an Analyst focused on identifying and evaluating early-stage startups in AI and enterprise software. This individual will conduct comprehensive technical and market research, participate in due diligence, and help uncover high-potential investment opportunities. This role also involves close collaboration with enterprise clients to interpret business challenges and understand how innovative startups provide solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and update strategic investment frameworks for the Enterprise & AI sectors.
- Monitor industry shifts, regulatory developments, and the competitive environment to inform decision-making.
- Investigate and document promising startups and cutting-edge technologies within targeted markets.
- Track the progress of startups and major companies, keeping a pulse on funding, acquisitions, and partnerships.
- Organize and update internal resources, such as market maps and informational databases, to aid sourcing and evaluation.
- Compile business insights from the enterprise ecosystem using interviews, surveys, and direct feedback collection.
- Transform enterprise input into actionable reports and customer-driven investment perspectives.
- Assist with startup due diligence, including technical product reviews, market analysis, scalability evaluations, and client references.
- Synthesize complex research into succinct, data-supported recommendations for internal and partner use.
- Work alongside senior stakeholders to match enterprise needs with startup capabilities and facilitate high-impact corporate introductions.
- Help coordinate dealflow presentations, ensuring select startups are effectively presented to partner organizations.
- Support educational and networking events, founder introductions, and contribute to the company’s thought leadership content initiatives.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, data science, mathematics, or a related discipline.
- 1–2 years of relevant experience in venture capital, consulting, investment banking, research, technical, or product-based roles, or a proven track record of exceptional academic or project-based achievements.
- Technical proficiency to evaluate AI-focused products and solutions.
- Strong analytical skills with an aptitude for deep research and the synthesis of disparate information sources.
- Demonstrated ability to interact with business leaders, gather market feedback, and interpret the customer perspective.
- Superb written communication skills for preparing research documents, content pieces, and public reports.
- Ability to convey insights clearly and professionally to audiences at all levels.
- Proactive approach to learning, tech adoption, and working in dynamic environments.
- Self-motivated, independent thinker with a drive to contribute new ideas within a fast-paced team setting.
