Qualifications and Essential Skills

  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and plans with precise measurement skills
  • Knowledge of safe usage and maintenance of hand and power tools, along with basic site equipment
  • Effective teamwork and communication, collaborating well with site managers, designers, and fellow tradespeople
  • Practical experience in trade-related duties
  • Understanding of workplace health and safety standards and practices
  • Proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and adherence to safe work protocols
  • Capable of performing physical manual tasks, including lifting and working in various environments
  • Good hand-eye coordination and meticulous attention to detail
  • Problem-solving ability to diagnose and execute repairs or installations
  • Ability to follow instructions accurately
  • Relevant trade certification, apprenticeship completion, or equivalent practical construction experience; formal qualifications are a benefit but not mandatory
  • Basic mathematical skills for measurements, estimates, and material calculations
  • Possession of a full driving license and ability to travel to different sites
