Team Member - Mitchell

About the role

Metcash is looking for a full-time Team Member for its new Mitchell site within the Hudson Mitre 10 Trade Centre business. This Monday to Friday position is centred on delivering strong customer service in a busy trade and hardware environment.

The ideal candidate will be self-driven, customer-oriented, and hold a forklift licence. Experience in a comparable role would be an advantage.

What you will do

• Help maintain the safety of colleagues, customers, and contractors within the department by following health and safety practices.
• Assist customers with their orders and provide prompt, effective service.
• Pick orders for dispatch on delivery trucks.
• Receive and store stock, with a focus on timber and related products.

What you will bring

• Clear communication and strong people skills.
• Good time management and the ability to meet deadlines.
• Physical fitness, including being able to stay on your feet throughout the day.
• Attention to detail and a practical sense of urgency.
• Availability to work across all five weekdays.
• A forklift licence, which is highly desirable.
