Stockperson/Cart Pusher

Position Overview

Join Walmart Canada as a Stockperson/Cart Pusher, an opportunity to enhance your retail experience. This role involves retrieving shopping carts from various locations including cart corrals, parking lots, and store surroundings, returning them safely to designated storage areas, while consistently providing excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities

• Collect shopping carts from designated areas following Walmart-approved procedures, ensuring completion of necessary logs.
• Provide timely assistance to customers at registers, helping with carry outs and carry ins, and verifying purchase receipts.
• Perform occasional cleaning and maintenance of restrooms, safely handling chemicals and power equipment, and completing inspection reports before use.
• Follow all safety and emergency procedures, including hazardous communications, lockout/tagout, and bloodborne pathogen protocols.
• Maintain the Cart Retrieval Log at the Customer Service Desk accurately.
• Ensure a safe, clean, and hazard-free workplace by adhering to company policies and procedures.
• Promote safety by wearing appropriate personal protective equipment such as steel-toe footwear and reflective vests during cart collection.
• Conduct safety sweeps as needed to maintain a secure environment.

Compensation

The starting hourly wage for this role is $18.75.

Minimum Requirements

• Must be at least 16 years of age or older.
