Role Overview

The Social Creative Director is responsible for leading the creative direction of social work across concepts, copy, video, static, and motion. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who can develop ideas, direct visual execution, and also produce high-quality work personally.

The position calls for strong art direction, sharp concepting, and the confidence to guide a team while setting a high creative bar. The right person will be proactive, collaborative, and comfortable moving quickly from idea development to shoot direction to final review of a large volume of assets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Direct social creative across assigned accounts and ensure strong execution across every format
  • Coach and develop social creatives while encouraging accountability and growth
  • Work closely with business, account, and other cross-functional partners
  • Coordinate with client-side creative leads to keep communication smooth and effective
  • Support new business efforts by shaping social creative strategy, developing concepts, and pitching ideas
  • Act as a senior client-facing contact and offer clear, trusted creative guidance
  • Create reusable toolkits, templates, and systems that improve efficiency and brand consistency
  • Track platform changes and trends, then turn insights into practical creative recommendations
  • Help manage resourcing and team structure, including hiring, onboarding, utilization tracking, and performance development
  • Set up and oversee backend workflows that support delivery of a large volume of assets
  • Promote agency culture, internal process, and cross-team collaboration

Requirements

  • 7-10+ years of experience leading social creative for major brands in an agency setting
  • Demonstrated ability to grow brands through culturally aware, platform-native social content
  • Strong background in visual design and creative direction
  • Advanced proficiency with social platforms and creator tools, including Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop and Illustrator), Figma, CapCut, and Google Slides
  • Excellent communication and presentation abilities
  • Experience managing and mentoring creative teams
  • Comfort working in fast-paced, deadline-heavy environments across multiple accounts
  • Strong interest in sport, culture, and music

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range for this full-time position is $175,000 to $200,000 per year. The role also includes benefits and a discretionary bonus.
