This pivotal programme requires a seasoned senior project manager to structure governance and drive delivery efforts across multiple workstreams for the coming year.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and enforce a comprehensive programme governance framework incorporating efficient project reporting, delivery tracking, decision-making forums, and stakeholder communication.

  • Produce and maintain transparent reporting for senior leadership through programme updates, progress assessments, and guidance of key decision-making sessions.
  • Supervise budget allocation and benefits realisation by monitoring expenditure against the business case and expected returns.
  • Ensure timely accomplishment of critical milestones supporting future clinical development and operations readiness.
  • Collaborate with scientific, digital, and technology units to develop essential diagnostic and data capabilities in the newly established lab.
  • Lead strategic planning efforts, including defining delivery roadmaps, milestones, and operational models to secure successful implementation through 2027.

Required Skills and Experience

  • Proven expertise managing complex, multi-workstream, global programmes or projects with strong emphasis on planning, dependencies, and risk/issue resolution.
  • Experience in developing and instigating governance structures.
  • Background in pharmaceutical or life sciences sectors.
  • Familiarity with laboratory construction or working within regulated environments.
  • Competence in tracking budgets and return on investment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Professional project management accreditation such as PgMP, MSP, or equivalent certifications.
