Key Responsibilities

• Understand and manage project and discipline-specific scope, schedule, and budget requirements, working closely with team members and coordinating across multiple disciplines to ensure project objectives are met.
• Introduce and apply innovative approaches, advanced technologies, and method improvements, particularly when managing tasks executed out of planned sequence.
• Support the Lead Engineer by overseeing quality assurance processes, actively engaging in team reviews, proposing enhancements, and taking corrective actions as necessary.
• Contribute to the preparation of project documentation including proposals, cost estimates, budgets, and timelines.
• Prepare comprehensive final documentation compiling all relevant technical details and pursue formal customer approvals.
• Review and approve documentation prepared by team members and provide guidance on quality standards.
• Evaluate emerging technology advancements relative to existing design standards, recommending updates to improve cost-effectiveness.
• Continuously identify and assess new technological developments for potential application in designing more economical facilities.

Quality Assurance and Safety

• Strictly adhere to the company's Quality Assurance system provisions and guidelines.
• Commit to personal safety and safe working practices, following Occupational Health & Safety procedures thoroughly.
• Advocate and promote health, safety, and environmental awareness among colleagues.

Qualifications and Accreditation

• Bachelor’s degree in Instrumentation or Electronics Engineering from an accredited institution.
• Mandatory Ministry of Municipality and Environment (MME) engineering accreditation, or willingness to obtain it during the probation period.
• Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) status is preferred or candidates undergoing this certification process are encouraged.

Industry Expertise

• Extensive Instrumentation and Control engineering experience specifically within offshore oil and gas projects.
• Broad knowledge of discipline design and engineering practices across multiple related areas.

Technical Skills

• Proficiency with Smart Plant / SPI software tools.
• Expertise in instrument sizing calculation software including sizing of control valves, orifices, voltage drop calculations.
• Capability to calculate pneumatic instrument air consumption, power requirements, and heat dissipation.
