Role Summary
The Senior Director, Facilities Management, is a newly established leadership role aimed at expanding Dexterra's facilities management leadership capacity. This position plays a critical part in guiding a sizable facilities management portfolio, facilitating business growth, mentoring future leaders, enhancing client relationships, and shaping the long-term strategy and success of the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide leadership and operational oversight for a major facilities management portfolio.
- Drive excellence in service quality, customer satisfaction, and overall business performance.
- Lead strategic planning initiatives aligning operations with company goals.
- Identify and implement improvements to increase efficiency and client value.
- Support revenue growth through client retention, expanding services, and new business development.
- Maintain strong client relationships and act as a trusted advisor.
- Participate in bid strategies, contract negotiations, pricing, and proposal creation.
- Mentor and develop operational leaders, fostering leadership capacity and succession planning.
- Ensure financial accountability including budgeting, forecasting, and profitability.
- Promote continuous improvement and innovation to enhance service delivery and operational efficiency.
Qualifications
- Post-secondary education in Business or a related discipline.
- Extensive leadership experience in Facilities Management or integrated facilities services.
- Track record of P&L responsibility and managing large-scale, complex operations.
- Strong strategic planning, business development, and commercial skills.
- Proven ability to build and mentor effective teams.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder engagement capabilities.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
