Role Overview

We seek a Senior Data Engineer to design, develop, and maintain robust enterprise data solutions utilizing Azure Databricks and related Microsoft Azure tools. This position involves both project work and ongoing operational support, collaborating with various stakeholders to ensure high-quality, scalable, and reliable data platforms that empower business insights.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement enterprise-level data pipelines and AI-enabled analytics solutions using Azure Databricks.
• Deliver project initiatives as well as manage business-as-usual operations to maintain data and reporting quality.
• Build, optimize, and maintain data pipelines, analytical models, and transformations leveraging Azure Data Factory, ADLS, SQL, Python, PySpark, and Databricks SQL.
• Develop and administer Power BI datasets, semantic models, and reports to support advanced business analytics.
• Monitor and troubleshoot data platform operations, enhancing performance, reliability, and data integrity.
• Implement CI/CD pipelines and adopt DevOps practices via Azure DevOps to streamline deployments.
• Apply best practices regarding data governance, security, access control, and authentication within Azure services.
• Contribute actively to defining and promoting data governance policies and education initiatives.
• Collaborate closely with business units, BI teams, data scientists, and engineers to deliver scalable, production-ready solutions.

Required Skills and Experience

• Proven expertise deploying data solutions on Microsoft Azure environments.
• Hands-on experience in SQL, Python, PySpark, and Databricks SQL development.
• Demonstrated ability to design and build data warehouses and analytical data models.
• Strong capabilities in Power BI report development and management, including proficiency with DAX.
• Experience working within DevOps settings, including use of CI/CD pipelines and source control systems.
• Capability to juggle project delivery demands alongside ongoing production support.
• Solid understanding of data integration techniques, analytics platforms, and reporting architectures.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience delivering AI, BI, or advanced analytics solutions.
• Familiarity with Azure AI or related analytics services such as Azure Machine Learning.
• Background in end-to-end delivery of BI or analytics projects.
• Industry knowledge in retail, supply chain, logistics, or banking sectors is advantageous.
