Regional GSOC Manager

About the Role

The Physical Security team at ByteDance safeguards personnel, assets, and facilities by developing and continuously upgrading security policies, preventive measures, incident response, and employee awareness on a global scale.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the Singapore GSOC Operations Centre across Asia Pacific, Europe, and other regions, overseeing technical, operational, and personnel management aspects.
• Manage GSOC activities during incident and crisis situations, working collaboratively with Physical Security units like Security Operations and Crisis Management and other stakeholders.
• Supervise tactical intelligence monitoring and evaluation of regional security matters, ensuring prompt incident detection, assessment, escalation, and communication to protect employees, offices, travel, and operations.
• Guarantee efficient response to EmergencySOS alerts, alarms, and other GSOC-managed incidents, emphasizing response quality and protocol adherence.
• Review and reinforce GSOC processes and procedures, leading their implementation.
• Create, apply, and maintain a Quality Assurance system including standard operating procedures, training, and drills for the Singapore GSOC Centre.
• Keep updated on industry trends and relevant digital tools, spearheading their testing, acquisition, and training to augment GSOC capabilities.
• Willingness to travel approximately 20% of the time, including inter-regional trips.

Candidate Qualifications

Mandatory:

• Bachelor's degree with minimum 5 years’ experience in corporate security, GSOC operations, intelligence, crisis management, or similar fields.
• Background working in 24/7 operational environments such as Security Operations Centres or intelligence monitoring centers.
• Comprehensive knowledge of tactical intelligence, incident evaluation, escalation, and security reporting, with experience in multi-region security monitoring.
• Management experience of external vendors, outsourced teams, or third-party providers, including leading teams of 10+ people for at least 2 years.
• Familiarity with digital tools like X Pro, Everbridge VCC, Crisis24 TopoONE, Factal, and Dataminr.
• Exceptional communication skills and stakeholder management across diverse regions and departments.
• Strong analytical and decision-making capabilities in fast-paced, ambiguous, and complex situations.

Preferred:

• Experience overseeing multi-regional GSOC operations covering APAC, EMEA, or other international markets.
• Direct involvement in tactical monitoring, incident handling, crisis response, and operational reporting.
• Knowledge of EmergencySOS, mass notification systems, CCTV, access control, alarm protocols, and incident management workflows.
• Track record building SOPs, QA frameworks, training/drill schemes, and leveraging data-driven or AI tools to enhance GSOC effectiveness.
