About the Team

The Data Team at ByteDance is central to developing and enhancing the infrastructure platforms powering products globally. Primary Responsibilities

  • Develop an in-depth understanding of business functions, team dynamics, and organizational goals to provide tailored HR support aligned with operational needs.
  • Act as a reliable intermediary connecting employees, leadership, and strategic HR Business Partners to facilitate clear communication and efficiently manage employee lifecycle events.
  • Oversee the daily people operations activities such as managing employee relations, onboarding, probation reviews, internal and external transfers, contract and entity transition processes, as well as coordinating intern and vendor engagements and exit procedures for specified employee groups.
  • Implement HR policies and procedures in partnership with HR Business Partners, promptly escalating high-risk or sensitive issues when necessary.
  • Lead initiatives aimed at designing standard operating procedures, enhancing processes, and achieving operational excellence to increase efficiency, service quality, and employee satisfaction.
  • Assist in developing operational metrics, dashboards, and conducting data analysis to detect trends, identify organizational challenges, and augment service efficiency.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure all people programs comply with legal, regulatory, tax, and employment standards in Singapore and Southeast Asia.
  • Promote a positive workplace culture by supporting an effective working environment within associated teams.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years experience in Human Resources or similar roles.
  • Exposure to employee relations, onboarding and probation management, mobility or transfer processes, offboarding, training operations, performance support, or culture-focused projects.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management capabilities across diverse functions.
  • Strong analytical skills with ability to identify operational bottlenecks, streamline workflows, and convert insights into actionable improvements.
  • Knowledge of Singapore’s employment legislation, labor regulations, and compliance obligations is essential.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Understanding of employment regulations and HR practices within Southeast Asia.
  • Experience working in fast-paced sectors like internet or technology companies.
  • Skills in process improvement, SOP development, operational excellence, or optimizing workflows.
  • Proficiency using data visualization tools or business intelligence software to monitor service and operational performance.
