About the Role

Key Responsibilities

  • Execute assigned tests and tasks promptly, strictly following Standard Operating Procedures, company Quality and Safety Standards, regulatory dossiers, and pharmacopoeia.
  • Oversee calibration, maintenance, and qualification of laboratory instruments.
  • Engage in initiatives to improve laboratory efficiency, such as analytical method transfer, development, validation, and equipment qualification.
  • Lead or support investigations into equipment malfunctions, out-of-trend (OOT) and out-of-specification (OOS) results, including root cause analyses and documentation.
  • Review and update Standard Operating Procedures and laboratory testing methods as needed.
  • Maintain laboratory housekeeping, manage inventory and stock control of reference standards, chemical reagents, and consumables.

Training and Development

Within the first year, you will be proficient in conducting most laboratory tests aligned with current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP), Good Laboratory Practices (GLP), and data integrity requirements. Training includes operation of equipment like particle size analyzers, FTIR, UV-Vis spectrometers, microscopes, Empower CDS, HPLC, and GC.

Candidate Profile

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or Biochemistry is required; prior work experience is desirable.
  • 0 to 3 years experience in pharmaceutical analysis preferred; suitable fresh graduates with relevant internship experience considered.
  • Familiarity with particle size analyzers, gas chromatography (GC), high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC), Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), Karl Fischer titrators, and potentiometric titrators is an advantage.
  • Knowledge of cGMP, GLP, and regulatory standards related to pharmaceutical analytical testing is preferred.
  • Working hours can be regular or 12-hour rotating shifts including night and weekends, with shift allowance applicable.
