About the Role

This opportunity serves as an excellent entry point into sterile manufacturing within a leading biopharmaceutical company's biotech facility in Tuas, Singapore. This position involves a 2-year contract under the Workforce Development Agency (WDA).

Key Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate pharmaceutical manufacturing equipment including high-speed sterile vial filling lines, robotic technologies, compounding panels, and automated CIP/SIP systems.
  • Dispense, formulate, and fill batches of active biological products according to production schedules.
  • Carry out routine quality control sampling and in-process testing at various manufacturing stages such as bioburden and water sampling.
  • Conduct microbial swabbing and sampling of cleanroom environments and equipment.
  • Clean and maintain Grade C and D cleanrooms along with production machinery.
  • Execute filter integrity testing using automated test units.
  • Prepare equipment by loading and initiating sterilization cycles in autoclaves.
  • Accurately complete batch documentation and perform in-process sampling on semi-finished drug products.
  • Perform visual inspections, labeling, and packaging duties on semi-finished products.
  • Adhere strictly to standard operating procedures and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) at all times.
  • Report quality notifications or deviations promptly and participate in safety, health, environmental, and compliance activities.
  • Escalate operational issues to Lead Technician or Shift Manager as necessary.
  • Engage in continuous improvement initiatives such as Kaizen events aligned with pharmaceutical operations.

Candidate Requirements

  • Diploma or Technical School qualification in operations, maintenance, or related fields.
  • Willingness to work rotating shifts on a 24x7 schedule.
  • Minimum two years of professional experience, preferably within manufacturing.
  • Strong understanding of safety protocols and practices within industrial environments.
