Program Manager, Pathway Programs

About the Role and Organization

This full-time position is based at Wake Forest University Health Sciences under the Office of Pathway Programs. It is dedicated to developing, executing, and evaluating pathway initiatives that support educational advancement from K-12 to professional levels, aligned with Wake Forest School of Medicine's mission. The role involves close collaboration with the Associate Director to create experiential learning opportunities fostering career development and a sustainable healthcare workforce.

Key Job Functions

• Plan, coordinate, and launch pathway program activities, curricula, and workshops focused on character, leadership, and personal flourishing.
• Work alongside faculty, staff, and mentors to incorporate character development within existing programs.
• Engage with participants and families to assist in shaping educational and career objectives.
• Contribute to the creation and upkeep of program resources including communications, newsletters, educational documents, and reporting materials.
• Develop and administer surveys for program evaluation; handle event coordination such as workshops and stakeholder meetings.
• Manage project timelines ensuring deliverables are met effectively.
• Build and maintain partnerships with students, alumni, community groups, and institutions to bolster program opportunities.
• Support program operations by nurturing a collaborative office atmosphere, assisting partnership alignment, and preparing stakeholder reports.
• Guide and supervise contracted staff to meet service quality and program goals.
• Serve as liaison among diverse program stakeholders enhancing communication and collaboration.

Data and Administration Duties

• Maintain the central pathway programs database, ensuring accurate data management and supporting volunteer and mentor matching systems.
• Assist in conducting data analyses and preparing reports to measure program performance against key metrics.
• Manage budget-related tasks including tracking expenditures and financial reporting.
• Support program evaluation tools such as surveys and assessments to monitor effectiveness and participant outcomes.
• Engage in continuous professional development and represent the program at relevant external events.

Candidate Profile and Requirements

• Bachelor's degree with a minimum of two years experience in project/program management or supervisory roles; Master’s degree in Health Administration, Business, or related field preferred.
• Proven communication skills, both verbal and written, coupled with strong interpersonal abilities necessary for effective team collaboration and partnership building.
• Analytical mindset with problem-solving capabilities and proficiency in computer tools including spreadsheets and presentation software.
• Ability to independently manage multiple projects under pressure while adhering to deadlines.
• Experience in supervision and customer service orientation valued.

• Comprehensive compensation package ranging approximately from $28.55 to $42.85 per hour, based on qualifications and experience.
