Mechanic-HVAC II

Position Overview

The Mechanic-HVAC II is responsible for inspecting, repairing, and maintaining HVAC systems, air quality controls, refrigeration units, and the mechanical plant. The role involves daily mechanical inspections, controlling temperature settings, monitoring energy and utility consumption, and calibrating various instruments such as controls, gauges, and meters. The position also includes assembling, installing, testing, and repairing electrical and electronic wiring systems as well as pipe assemblies and related fittings. Routine maintenance tasks for pools and spas are also part of the duties.

Job Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough daily checks on mechanical plant equipment.
• Maintain and adjust property temperature controls effectively.
• Analyze and monitor energy and utility usage for efficiency.
• Calibrate and maintain accurate control instruments, gauges, and meters.
• Install, assemble, test, and repair electrical systems and wiring.
• Assemble and service pipe systems including valves and fittings.
• Perform regular pool and spa maintenance tasks.
• Adhere strictly to all company safety and security protocols while reporting any hazards, accidents, or maintenance issues promptly.
• Maintain a clean and professional personal appearance and uphold confidentiality standards.
• Provide courteous guest interactions and anticipate service needs in line with company standards.
• Develop positive work relationships and respond appropriately to colleagues' concerns.
• Ensure quality standards and continuously seek methods to enhance organizational productivity, efficiency, safety, and cost savings.
• Perform physical tasks including reaching, moving in confined spaces, navigating uneven surfaces, ascending/descending stairs, and handling objects up to 100 pounds.
• Assist with manual lifting and moving of heavy objects safely.
• Fulfill other reasonable job-related duties as assigned by supervisors.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Education: Completion of Technical, Trade, or Vocational School.
• Work Experience: Minimum of 3 years in a related mechanical or HVAC role.
• Licenses/Certifications: Must hold an EPA Universal Certification, valid HVAC Certification, and a Driver's License.
• Supervisory experience is not required.
