About the Role
Join Mathnasium Nad Al Sheba as a Math Instructor responsible for providing specialized math tutoring using the Mathnasium Methodology. This position demands a personalized, expert approach to meet each student's individual learning needs, helping to build their confidence and self-esteem through successful engagement with selected math materials.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver math instruction per Mathnasium's methodology and practices.
- Encourage, motivate, and actively engage students during lessons.
- Assess and record student progress accurately.
- Review and correct student work, offering positive and constructive feedback.
- Maintain students' focus and re-engage those who are distracted.
- Manage classroom behavior to maintain an optimal learning atmosphere.
- Communicate student needs effectively with leadership and fellow instructors in a collaborative teaching environment.
- Support additional tasks including cleaning, administrative duties, and curriculum preparation as needed.
Desired Instructor Qualities
- Math Expertise: Passion for mathematics with strong knowledge through Algebra I; ability to teach higher topics like Algebra II, Trigonometry for high school learners. Completion of comprehensive training and adherence to Mathnasium pedagogy is required.
- Engaging Teaching Style: Effective communication skills that foster clear, concise instruction and inspire students by creating a fun and enthusiastic teaching environment. Ability to build and maintain strong rapport with students for sustained engagement.
- Facilitation Skills: Capability to seamlessly move between multiple students, track various concurrent lessons, evaluate and document progress, while correcting work with constructive feedback that boosts confidence.
- Professionalism: Maintain a friendly, professional rapport with parents, students, and colleagues to build trust and uphold the program's value. Serve as a positive role model demonstrating the empowering potential of mathematics.
